Carbon Robotics: LaserWeeder G2 and Tractor Autonomy
Review Carbon Robotics’ laser weeding equipment, regional tractor-autonomy offering, grower applications, configuration boundaries, and seasonal acceptance and support requirements.
Company identity and agricultural focus
Carbon Robotics develops agricultural automation and identifies Seattle, Washington, as its headquarters on its company page. The official privacy notice names Carbon Autonomous Robotics Systems as the organization behind the services. Confirm the exact entity on the equipment contract. This profile covers the company's farming business; LaserWeeder and Carbon Autonomy are offerings within it, not additional companies.
LaserWeeder G2 product choices
The current LaserWeeder G2 portfolio presents multiple sizes, including G2 200, 300, 400, 600 and 1200, combining plant recognition with laser-based weed treatment. The official news index dates the G2 product-line announcement to 10 February 2025. Select the machine against field geometry, crop arrangement and operating equipment. Do not infer identical coverage, handling or crop compatibility across all sizes.
Tractor autonomy and regional availability
Carbon Autonomy is a separate tractor kit, software and remote-supervision offering. Its current page specifies supported Deere tractor series, describes human remote intervention and limits initial availability to particular United States regions. It also presents early access. A LaserWeeder purchase should not be interpreted as including tractor autonomy. Confirm eligibility, local availability, supervision arrangements and the exact combined configuration before specifying unattended field work.
Published grower applications
The official grower collection describes Primaflor using LaserWeeder G2 and purchasing a second machine, and Terra Gold Farms using tractor autonomy for ground preparation. These are undated supplier-published customer accounts reviewed in September 2026. They support identifiable applications, while reported labor savings remain specific to the growers and conditions described. Request comparable evidence for the buyer's crop, acreage and seasonal operating pattern.
Crop evaluation and outcome measurement
Provide representative crop stages, weed populations, row spacing and field conditions for evaluation. Agree how to count missed weeds, crop damage, repeat treatment and remaining manual work. Record preparation, travel between fields and downtime alongside treatment time. Assess the crop outcome over an appropriate interval with the farm's adviser; an immediate visual demonstration does not establish the season's yield, quality or total cost reduction.
Equipment integration and operating responsibilities
Require confirmation of the tractor, implement connections, power provision and transport arrangement for the selected system. The G2 page identifies a Class 4 laser product, so request the manufacturer's operating, maintenance and site-control requirements for the supplied configuration. For autonomy, define connectivity, supervision handoffs and recovery responsibilities. Ask how operational records and machine updates are managed, including who may authorize changes during the season.
Commercial and service questions
Which machine, crop capabilities and support package are included?
What tractor modifications, subscriptions or remote services are required?
Where are technicians and critical spares available during peak fieldwork?
How will seasonal capacity and agronomic acceptance be demonstrated?
Compare acquisition, financing if offered, software, repairs, transport and retained labor against a documented baseline. Published percentage savings are not a substitute for a farm-specific cost model or a contractual response commitment.
Preparing a field automation brief
Review Agricultural, Aerial & Underwater Robots and Write a Robotics Buyer Brief around the actual cultivation task. The Robotics RFQ guidance helps separate weeding equipment, tractor automation and support when comparing proposed solutions.
