AGILOX: OCF Pallet Handling and X-SWARM Mobile Robot Software
Compare AGILOX OCF configurations, pallet and station requirements, X-SWARM coordination and analytics, with clear distinctions between lift height, station height and site performance.
Company background
AGILOX develops autonomous mobile robots for internal material handling. Its company history traces the business to INTREST in Linz, Austria, and records reorganization into AGILOX Services GmbH and AGILOX Systems GmbH in 2017, followed by the AGILOX market launch. It records a North American business from 2019 and a Shanghai company from 2022. These milestones describe corporate history, not guaranteed support coverage.
OCF counterbalanced transport
The OCF is an omnidirectional counterbalanced mobile robot for open or closed pallets. The official product page offers 750 kg and 1,500 kg payload configurations, different fork lengths and different lift arrangements. Select the configuration against the load and transfer station. Treat the vehicle, its forks and the actual pallet as one handling envelope when assessing passage and turning space.
Lift height and station height
The OCF technical table distinguishes maximum lifting height of 1,600 mm from maximum EPAL station height of 1,450 mm. Those measurements describe different things. A lower-height variant is also described. Buyers should specify both the required fork movement and the actual pallet support surface rather than treating a single height value as universal clearance for every station.
X-SWARM coordination
AGILOX describes robots exchanging position, status and task information to allocate work and recalculate routes. Its software page states that orders are transmitted over Wi-Fi and distributed among robots. This architecture still requires a planned communications environment. The absence of a master computer in the product description should not be read as the absence of network or commissioning requirements.
Mapping and operational analysis
The software description covers mapping with a two-dimensional laser scanner and configuration of pickup, drop-off and action areas. AGILOX Analytics is presented as a cloud-based platform for fleet performance analysis, with dashboard and shift-comparison functions. Ask which data leaves the site, which functions are included in the subscription, and what staff can continue to do during a communications outage.
Site acceptance and load compatibility
Use the actual pallet population in a trial, including variations in dimensions and condition. Confirm fork engagement, loaded travel, placement accuracy and recovery from an occupied destination. Check low passages and doors using the selected mast configuration. Measure the completed transfer cycle under realistic pedestrian and vehicle traffic; a maximum vehicle speed does not describe delivered warehouse throughput.
Procurement and service questions
Separate optional fork adjustment, additional sensing, peripheral interfaces and software services in the quotation. Agree how maps and stations can be changed, who validates changes, and how support teams recover an interrupted task. Request references with comparable load carriers and station layouts. Published deployment-time and charging claims need site-specific conditions; they are not contractual completion or uptime guarantees in this profile.
Sources and review boundary
Reviewed 11 September 2026 using the official company history, OCF product and configuration page, and X-SWARM and Analytics description. No customer-specific savings or independent acceptance result is asserted. Confirm the current commercial entity and configuration for the destination market.
