RobotPlusPlus: HighMate Robots for Industrial Cleaning and Surface Preparation
Industrial robotics supplier offering HighMate cargo-hold cleaning, hydroblasting and modular surface-treatment systems. Compare model scope, supporting equipment and site acceptance requirements.
Company and industrial focus
RobotPlusPlus describes its founding as 2015 and focuses on robotic work at height for marine, energy and heavy-industry applications. Its website also uses the ROBOT++ brand. HighMate identifies a product portfolio within the same company. This profile covers industrial maintenance and surface treatment, with individual robot configurations and supporting equipment considered separately.
Cargo-hold cleaning with C20
The HighMate C20 product page describes a robot for cleaning cargo holds, with applications also presented for hulls and tanks. It combines a mobile cleaning platform with a spray-cleaning process. Evaluate access to corners, changes in surface geometry and the type of residue at the proposed site. Published coverage and productivity claims should be confirmed through a representative trial.
Hydroblasting and swing-arm families
The supplier distinguishes HighMate V40, V45 and V40E hydroblasting configurations. Their tables do not give identical weights, protection ratings or curvature limits. Its A10/20 family is a modular swing-arm platform for surface treatment and cleaning, with different tool arrangements. Specify the complete model and module combination instead of applying one family’s headline figure to another.
Robot and supporting system scope
The integrated-solution page lists supporting water-handling and filtration equipment alongside the robots. A complete project therefore needs a scope covering the robot, process equipment, utilities, connections and waste collection. Ask which components are supplied by each party and which must already be available on site. Robot-only specifications cannot describe the performance or footprint of the entire installation.
Specification and evidence boundaries
Some published tables contain ambiguous labels or multiple supply entries without clearly separating components. Obtain a dated technical sheet for the quoted configuration and resolve units, electrical interfaces and environmental ratings before procurement. Record any optional modules separately. A supplier application example is useful context, but it does not establish identical output or suitability on every vessel or structure.
Trial and acceptance questions
Define the required surface condition, permitted residue and inspection method before comparing solutions. Use representative geometry and contamination, and record setup, repositioning, cleaning, inspection and recovery time separately. Agree how incomplete areas are identified and finished. Assess access arrangements, attachment conditions and operating procedures with the responsible site team and integrator before a production trial.
Delivery and maintenance planning
Request operator training, inspection records, consumable lists and a maintenance schedule for the actual robot and process equipment. Clarify spare-parts availability, service response and responsibility for software or hardware changes. Compare costs over the full job, including preparation, water or waste handling and downtime. A handover should include configuration records and a repeatable acceptance procedure for subsequent sites.
