Company Profile: Techman Robot Inc.
Techman Robot collaborative arms with integrated vision, covering S-series model selection, TMflow and AI inspection workflows, dated product milestones and practical integration questions.
Techman Robot and vision-guided automation
Techman Robot supplies collaborative robots, vision capabilities and related software for industrial applications. Its approach combines robot motion and visual tasks such as locating parts or inspecting results. This profile covers the manufacturer and its TM robot products. Research reviewed: 10 September 2026.
Define whether the required output is handling, assembly, inspection or a combination. A vision-equipped arm still needs suitable tooling, lighting, fixtures, machine interfaces and acceptance tests. Identify the supplier responsible for the complete application and for supporting each external component.
S-series models and mechanical fit
The TM12S product page lists a 12 kg payload and 1,300 mm reach, with uses including machine tending, packaging and handling. The wider S-series range provides other load and reach combinations. Check the individual model and configuration.
Include the gripper, camera accessories and workpiece in the load calculation. Verify the path through machine doors and around fixtures, not only the distance from the base to a target. For larger payload models, request the load diagram and any operating restrictions associated with the proposed handling mode.
Vision and AI inspection requirements
The S-series materials describe integrated vision and the use of TM AI+ training capabilities. A purchasing specification should separate robot positioning from defect inspection. Each needs its own test images, pass criteria and response to an uncertain result.
Provide representative good and defective parts, surface variation and expected lighting changes. Agree on who labels the data, maintains the trained model and checks performance after a product change. Measure false rejects and missed defects on an independent test set. An AI feature description does not establish inspection accuracy for a new material or defect type.
Dated product and software development evidence
Techman's official history records the S-series and TM25S release in 2023, TM30S in 2024, and TM6S and TM20S in 2025. These are company-reported product milestones, distinct from proof of performance at a particular customer site.
A TMflow 2.18 technical note updated 8 May 2026 describes version-specific palletizing and vision features. It states applicable software and hardware versions. Use these documents to discuss compatibility; an article update date should not be treated as the original launch date of every feature it describes.
TMflow, interfaces and image records
TMflow supports graphical task programming, with scripting options described in the S-series materials. Techman's ROS repository guide distinguishes drivers by TMflow and ROS version. Confirm the supported combination before planning a custom application or connection to another control system.
TM Image Manager provides a separate route for collecting inspection images and results. If traceability is required, agree on software licensing, host requirements, storage, retention and access. Define how records will be associated with the correct part and what happens if network communication is interrupted.
Cell integration and collaborative operation
The robot, gripper and process equipment must be assessed together. Check contact and trapping risks, sharp components, machine motion and operator access during loading and maintenance. Obtain the declarations and safety documentation for the exact hardware and options, and validate the integrated application.
Provide the site layout, utilities, machine signals and required output. Assign responsibility for lighting and calibration, PLC permissions, reject handling and restart logic. A robot demonstration under favorable conditions does not establish the working speed or inspection quality of the final cell.
What a representative acceptance trial should prove
The selected arm can reach and orient the real tool across every required position.
Vision remains reliable with normal part, surface and lighting variation.
Good-part output includes inspection, reject handling and product changeovers.
Missed picks, uncertain inspections and machine alarms have defined recovery paths.
Safety validation, operator training and editable programs are delivered.
Software versions, licenses, backups, spare parts and regional support are documented.
Request a quotation separating the robot, end tooling, vision accessories, software, integration and commissioning. Confirm who maintains the application after a part design or production recipe changes.
Official contact and procurement preparation
Use Techman's official contact route to confirm the responsible sales entity and integration partner for the installation country. Include the parts, process, layout and desired trial. Product listings and partner references do not establish a site-specific price or service commitment.
