Solinftec: Solix Agricultural Robots, Targeted Spraying and ALICE AI
Solinftec develops Solix agricultural robots and ALICE AI, combining crop observation, targeted spraying and field reporting with configuration-specific automation and support.
Company and agricultural focus
Solinftec develops agricultural automation, robotics and software. Founded in Brazil in 2007 by automation engineers from Cuba, the company identifies Araçatuba as its Brazilian headquarters and West Lafayette, Indiana, as its US base. Its portfolio combines Solix field robots with the ALICE AI platform for agricultural operations. Buyers should distinguish corporate presence from local robot supply.
Scouting and spraying configurations
Solix combines crop observation with tools for field intervention. Earlier product announcements distinguished the Scouting robot from the Sprayer robot. The current US offering is presented as Solix X1, using cameras and individually controlled nozzles for targeted weed treatment. Specify the required crop, row arrangement and treatment task when requesting a configuration, rather than assuming every Solix description refers to identical equipment.
Field operation and supervision
The current FAQ describes Solix primarily as a complementary tool for targeted post-emergence applications; conventional spraying may remain part of the farm's programme. Crop support depends on configuration and regional availability. The documented response to loss of RTK corrections is to pause and notify the operator. A field trial should include interruptions, access routes and recovery responsibilities.
Hunter and pest management
Solinftec also describes a nighttime pest-control function that attracts adult insects with light and uses electric shocks. This Hunter role is distinct from scouting and herbicide application. Its applicability should be checked against the target pest, crop and supplied configuration. Request local evidence and agronomic review before including it in a farm's pest-management plan.
Refilling and field infrastructure
The current US Refill Station is an optional, separately sold addition. It enables automatic replenishment and return to the mission; without a station, the robot waits for manual refilling. Procurement should cover station placement, supply preparation, cleaning and service access as well as the mobile machine. Agree who responds when an unattended mission needs intervention.
ALICE AI and operational records
ALICE AI is Solinftec's broader platform for monitoring, agronomy, logistics and traceability. Solix reporting connects field activity to that software environment, while the app exposes mission status and alerts. Buyers should request example records, clarify account permissions and retention, and test the intended data transfer with their existing farm-management workflow before relying on an integration.
Commercial scope and product roadmap
Solinftec's August 2026 update reports an expanding US commercial fleet and completed refill operations. It also describes additional XT, XR and XC models under development, with XR availability expected for the 2027 season. Keep these plans separate from a current purchase specification. Confirm regional supply, remote support, replacement parts and acceptance criteria in the proposed agreement.
