Before You Start a Robotics Project: Four Checks
Technical, economic, organisational and compliance checks that should pass before any equipment is ordered.
Four checks
Technical feasibility (can the process be automated at the required cycle time), economic feasibility (payback period and total cost of ownership), organisational readiness (who will run and maintain it), and compliance (safety, environment and certification requirements).
Minimum evidence
At least one sample trial or a validated simulation should back the decision. Paper assumptions are not evidence.
Output
A short feasibility note, an investment estimate, a risk list with owners, and a next-step plan.
