How to Write an RFQ That Gets Useful Quotes
A clear request for quotation saves three rounds of email.
Structure
One line of background, the process and part description, cycle time and accuracy requirements, site conditions, delivery date and acceptance method, and the cost items you expect to be quoted separately.
State explicitly
Quotation validity, whether tax, freight, installation, commissioning and training are included, warranty period, and service response time.
Tip
Attach site photos and part drawings. Quotes get noticeably closer to reality.
