The supplier also describes a floor-loaded inbound cell for unpalletized trailer deliveries.
Eligible products can remain in their shipping packaging. Buyers should request a validated SKU and packaging matrix, including damaged-case exceptions, and a site-specific flow diagram covering inbound staging, storage structure, utilities, fire protection and outbound dispatch.
Robots and small-order fulfillment
The current robot family includes SymBot, SymBot XL and SymBot TR. These robots operate within the ASRS; they should not be treated as generic free-roaming warehouse AMRs. SymBot has a manufacturer-stated payload limit of 60 lb (27.2 kg) and maximum payload dimensions of 24 × 24 × 16.2 inches. SymBot TR retrieves totes for each-picking and micro-fulfillment. BreakPack supports partial-case orders. SymMicro targets small-item fulfillment, including retail back-of-store operations. The supplier describes automated tote retrieval and presentation to a human operator at a multi-order pick station. Automated retrieval does not mean unattended item picking; decanting, replenishment and exceptions still need a labor plan.
Software and integration
Symbotic's software platform coordinates robot routing, retrieval sequencing and pallet planning. Supplier descriptions cover inventory mapping, anomaly detection and pallet layouts informed by product properties, store layouts and business rules. Statements about WMS/ERP compatibility are not a published interface specification or a guarantee for every software version.
