Verifying a Robotics Company's Capacity Claim
Capacity numbers are the easiest to inflate and the easiest to check.
Three questions
| Question | Why |
|---|---|
| Is this designed capacity or delivered units? | Design capacity is a plan, not evidence |
| Over which period, for which model? | Cumulative totals flatter the picture |
| Can we see a reference site? | A working installation is the strongest evidence |
Cross-checks
Customer lists, published awards, trade show presence and independently reported shipments. Where a number cannot be sourced, we label it as unverified rather than repeating it.
Contract advice
Tie delivery milestones and spare part commitments to actual dates, not to stated capacity.
