Warranty Terms: What Robot Vendors Usually Exclude
The clauses that quietly turn a warranty into an invoice.
Common exclusions
- Consumables: cables, belts, filters, gripper pads, suction cups.
- Damage from collisions, crashes and overload — which vendors may attribute to operation.
- Water, dust and corrosion beyond the stated IP rating.
- Use outside the rated duty cycle, payload or ambient range.
- Software from third parties, or modifications made by the customer.
- Travel, accommodation and labour for on-site work in some contracts.
