When a notified body is needed
Most industrial robot cells are self-certified under the machinery rules, but certain categories and certain safety components require a notified body. Check the annexes that apply to your machine type before assuming self-certification is available.
What the technical file should contain
- Drawings, diagrams and descriptions of the assembly.
- Risk assessment and the record of risk reduction measures.
- Standards applied, with the editions.
- Validation records and measured stopping times.
- Operating instructions and the declaration of conformity.
