ABB Robotics: Industrial Automation and Autonomous Mobile Robots
ABB Robotics provides industrial robots, collaborative robots and autonomous mobile robotics for manufacturing and logistics. Confirm model, integration scope, safety and regional support before procurement.
Company and international scope
ABB Robotics supplies robotics and machine-automation technology for industrial applications. ABB's published group headquarters address is in Zurich, Switzerland; this is a group location, not a statement that every robotics business or support team is based there. Buyers should identify the contracting entity and service organisation for their destination market.
Robot portfolio
The official robotics portfolio includes industrial and collaborative robots, autonomous mobile robots, controllers, software, services and application equipment. Robot categories include articulated, delta, SCARA, paint and palletizing systems. RobotStudio provides simulation and programming tools; selecting a robot also requires choosing compatible control, tooling and process equipment.
GoFa and collaborative applications
The GoFa product page presents 5 kg, 10 kg and 12 kg model variants and reach up to 1.62 m. Configuration-dependent payload notes must be checked in the current datasheet. ABB describes integrated torque sensing and uses including machine tending, welding, palletizing, assembly and screwdriving. YuMi is another family in the collaborative portfolio.
Collaborative hardware does not by itself establish that a finished application can run without guarding. The workpiece, tools, speed, layout and interaction with people all affect the safety design.
Industries and procurement questions
ABB's industry pages cover automotive, electronics, food and beverage, healthcare, life sciences and logistics, among other sectors. These categories describe supplier coverage, not a guarantee that every model suits every process.
What model, payload, reach and cycle time meet the intended task?
Which controller, RobotStudio tools and software licences are included?
Who supplies the gripper, process equipment and PLC or logistics interfaces?
Which local team commissions the cell and provides training, maintenance and spares?
What tests demonstrate quality, throughput and safe operation before acceptance?
Commercial availability
Ask for a destination-specific quotation covering delivery, installation, service and ongoing software costs. Public portfolio pages do not establish local inventory, a universal price or the suitability of an untested cell. Request current model documentation and a site-specific integration assessment.
Prepare requirements through the Robotics RFQ Center and compare profiles in Industrial & Collaborative Robots.
