Our Position on Rankings

Why rankings are hard

• Criteria differ by application: a welding cell and a delivery robot share no metrics.
• Published figures are inconsistent in definition and date.
• Ranking by size hides whether a supplier fits your task.

What we do instead

We classify companies by what they build and where they are, and we describe categories with the criteria that matter for that application. Readers compare within a category using their own requirements rather than a single composite score.
