Simulation earns its cost before the steel is ordered.
What to model

| Cycle time | Is the target achievable with realistic speeds |
| Interference | Do tools, fixtures and fencing collide |
| Operator access | Can people load, inspect and clear faults |
Making it credible
- Use realistic accelerations, not catalogue maximums.
- Model the real tooling, including cables.
- Verify the cycle time on the physical cell before accepting it.
Simulation is a planning tool. Acceptance still requires measured performance on the real cell.
