Reference Visits: What to Ask
Ask the questions a supplier would rather you did not.
Questions worth asking
| Area | Question |
|---|---|
| Reliability | How often does it stop, and why |
| Support | How fast does the supplier respond |
| Documentation | Was handover complete and useful |
| Changeover | How long to switch products |
| Regrets | What would you do differently next time |
How to run the visit
- Insist on speaking to the person who runs the cell, not only the manager.
- Compare two references, ideally with different products.
- Note the age of the installation; a one-month-old cell proves little.
Reference visits are a sample. Combine them with data from your own pilot or trial.
