Delivery and Unloading Planning
The machine usually arrives before anyone has thought about unloading.
Plan these items
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Transport | Vehicle type, bracing and shock protection |
| Access | Route, gate width and turning space |
| Lifting | Crane or forklift capacity and certified slings |
| Unpacking | Who opens the crates and where |
| Placement | Position, level and fixing method |
| Waste | Crate and packing disposal |
What goes wrong
- Crane booked after arrival, with the machine blocking the yard.
- Crating opened in a corridor with no clearance.
- Nobody insured the lift.
Lifting and transport plans should be approved by the responsible site person before the delivery date.
