Handling Returns and Warranty Claims
How you handle a claim decides your reputation more than the sale did.
A workable process
| Stage | Action |
|---|---|
| Notice | Buyer reports within the agreed period with evidence |
| Assessment | Remote diagnosis first, site visit if needed |
| Decision | Repair, replace, refund or decline with reasons |
| Logistics | Who pays freight and how the unit is packed |
| Closure | Written confirmation with dates and serial numbers |
Keeping it fair
- Do not argue about the cause before you have the evidence.
- Record every claim, including the ones you reject.
- Fix the root cause if the same claim repeats.
Warranty rights and obligations are governed by the contract and local law. Take advice for significant claims.
