AgXeed B.V.: AgBot Field Robots and TraXwise Farm Automation
AgXeed combines autonomous AgBot vehicles with implement integration and TraXwise planning. Review model differences, a Netherlands farm trial and procurement requirements.
AgXeed's autonomous field machinery
AgXeed B.V. is a Netherlands-based agricultural automation supplier combining AgBot vehicles with planning and monitoring software. Its proposition covers the relationship between the field, machine, implement and operator. A purchase should therefore define the complete field operation, including tool compatibility and support, rather than treating the vehicle as a universal replacement for every tractor task.
The appropriate configuration depends on soil, crop geometry, working depth, implement demands and the period in which work must be completed.
Four AgBot model families
The current AgBot range includes tracked T2 5 SERIES and T2 7 SERIES machines, the three-wheeled W3 2 SERIES and four-wheeled W4 2 SERIES. AgXeed positions the T2 range for arable field work, W3 for orchards and tree nurseries, and W4 for lighter cultivation and specialty crops.
The T2 7 SERIES is the higher-power tracked option, with a published 230 hp diesel-electric drivetrain. Its capabilities should not be transferred to smaller models. Likewise, an orchard machine's geometry does not establish clearance in a particular row layout without a site assessment.
Implement compatibility and optional equipment
AgXeed describes use with standard three-point implements, but a hitch connection alone does not prove that a tool can complete a task autonomously. Compare lift requirements, load position, hydraulic flow, power take-off, working width and feedback signals. Include the implement manufacturer's responsibilities in the integration agreement.
The T2 7 SERIES specification sheet identifies optional PTO, high-voltage connection and load-sensing features. The advertised rear lift maximum is measured at the hooks. Specify the complete configuration and operating load; the maximum lift figure is not a universal implement payload allowance.
TraXwise links planning and execution
TraXwise supports field and implement records, route and headland planning, task transfer, live monitoring and operation documentation. Tasks are assigned to a field and machine combination. This creates a planning workflow that should be tested with the buyer's real implement settings and field boundaries.
AgXeed's initial setup guidance describes a partner-led GNSS field survey, uploaded geofences and digital pairing of implements with vehicles. Agree responsibility for maintaining boundary data, connectivity, operator access and changed field conditions. A new gate, ditch or temporary obstacle may require an operational review.
A documented Netherlands farm trial
In its spring operations update, listed on 11 July 2025, AgXeed reports Marijn Vermuë's Netherlands trial of a T2 5 SERIES through the NPPL project. Completed activities included flail mowing, seedbed preparation and potato ridging. The account also describes challenges with unexpected conditions and the need to adapt farm management.
This is useful evidence of a named, real farm trial. Planned later tasks in the article should be distinguished from the reported completed work. Its findings concern that machine and farm; they do not demonstrate identical results for the newer T2 7 SERIES or for all soils and implement combinations.
Measure the whole field operation
Choose a pilot task with a clear agronomic result, such as a defined cultivation depth or mowing finish. Measure worked area, turning time, fuel, operator interventions, tool blockages and repeat work. Compare against the same field conditions and quality criteria used for the current method.
Include machinery transport between fields, coupling, refuelling, maintenance and the response to an interrupted mission. Define who can restart work and how other people or vehicles enter the operating area. Discuss supervision and local operating conditions with the supplier; autonomous field work does not imply autonomous public-road movement or zero human support.
Dealer support and commercial scope
Use AgXeed's official dealer route to establish regional supply, demonstrations and service. Request a proposal covering the machine, selected options, implement integration, survey, software access, training and seasonal support. Confirm which partner resolves faults involving both the implement and the vehicle.
Ask about parts availability during peak season, remote diagnostics, field visits, software renewals and data export. Set acceptance criteria for the actual farm tasks and identify exclusions for weather, soil and crop conditions. Annual utilization, fuel savings and return on investment should be based on the buyer's work calendar and measured pilot results.
