Building an Internal Market Dashboard
Decide what you will look at every month, and nothing more.
A starter set
| Metric | Source |
|---|---|
| Order intake | Your own CRM or order book |
| Lead times | Supplier confirmations |
| Component price change | Representative quotations |
| Competitor awards | Published notices |
| Installed base growth | Your own service records |
Keeping it useful
- Six metrics is usually enough; more get ignored.
- Update on a fixed date each month.
- Note the source and the date against every number.
Internal dashboards should be simple and owned by one person. Stale dashboards lose credibility quickly.
